A Record Breaking World Series for St. Louis Cardinals
Who was the World Series MVP? David Freese is the St. Louis Cardinals new hometown hero. In aiding the Cardinals to a major series 6-2 win, Freese hit one key homerun each in Game 6 and Game 7. Freese isn’t the only one that made a huge impact in the Cardinals offense. Pitcher Chris Carpenter threw strikeout after strikeout to knock the Texas Rangers off their game. Albert Pujols, first basemen and valuable player in Game 3, hit three homeruns to tie a baseball record. What’s next for the Cardinals? Will they re-sign one of their World Series stars?
